Pound for pound, the Barbco standard auger outperforms the competition. As an American manufacturer, we use top quality Drawn Over Mandrel (DOM) steel tubing produced in the United States. Designed for soft ground, hard rock and soil conditions anywhere in-between, our standard augers use ½” thick steel flighting. For added strength, the flights are overlapped and triple welded where the seams meet the tube. Our augers are made with drive sizes 2-1/4”, 3”, 4” and 5” hex. Our standard auger length is 10’, but we can accommodate custom lengths to fit your project needs. Our most popular size auger is built to stock.
Barbco’s Slip Hex O-Ring auger is the only auger in the industry that allows you to freely pump air or fluid through the shaft of your auger to the cutting head, or air operated hammer. This design revolutionized the auger boring method worldwide.
When boring in loose sandy soil conditions, the right equipment is critical. The Barbco sand auger has a 12” pitch to hold back running sand. That’s compared to a standard auger, which has a 24” pitch and allows twice the sand into the auger string with every revolution. When ground conditions lack stability, using a Barbco sand auger greatly reduces the risk of creating sink holes in the road.
Get ready for xtreme strength and xtreme reliability. The Barbco Xtreme auger offers heavy-duty performance that’s unmatched in the auger boring industry. With 10″ O.D., 1” wall, ASTM-A106B mid-body tubing and reinforced 5” hex bushings, you can power through your toughest bore with ease. If that’s not enough, Barbco can also provide ¾” thick flighting. Barbco augers provide jobsite versatility and a long-lasting lifespan.
When your project calls for custom performance, Barbco offers specialized augers to meet your needs. We develop and manufacture custom augers designed to fit your bore, so you can select the size, shape and material required.
For projects with coated pipes or fiberglass casings, we’ve created plastic laminated augers with 1” thick nylon on the outer edge. Designed for versatile performance, once the laminate is removed, this tool functions as a standard auger.
